im running a xe282hr and i love it,, badass if you ask me a bunch of guys run th 274 and they like it

 

I'm running the XE284 in a 351W and it's a good compromise - not too radical, very easy to drive and sounds nice. I like it.

In my old 302, the cam I had was 224* at .050 on the intake and 500 lift. The XE274 is 230* at .050 and520 lift on the intake. The cam in my 302 was not radical at all and very easy to drive, made pretty good power and had good mid-range torque.

 

are you guys having any clearance problems or did you have to do any mods to make it work.

Here's a link to the Comp Cams catalogue. Scroll down to the Extreme Energy cams (near the top of page 1). You can see the specs of the different cams including the XE274. My old 302 had the XE268 and it was an easy daily driver.

sorry for the confusion the cam i was referencing was the xe274hr not the h, the specs for the hr are
274/282 duration
555/565 lift
that is why i was concerned if it would work without any modifications and was wanting to know if anyone had it installed.
