Starting problem
I've been having this problem lately, when I first start the car it rev's up to like 1500 then comes down to like 400, almost stalls then goes to it's normal Idle speed ? Is this a major problem? Should I be worrried ? You help is appreciated! Thanks

that or i have said it a thousand times and im going to say it again the iac valve is a huge promblem on the stangs so they are always something i put into consideration when stuff is acting up like that but now that is think of it it does sound like a fuel delivery promblem

Actualy your right I did just do Exaust on my car, and I started noticing that it was doing that after I did it... so must be problem, I'll look into it thanks guys[sm=icon_cheers.gif]
Stangpower96 : IAC valve ? I know about the PCV valve, but I'm not familiar with a IAC valve. Would you be able to pass along your knowledge to me please ? [sm=thanx.gif]

It's that big ugly pile of metal on the side of the TB thats towards the front of the car. it has two bolts holding it on and one connection on the bottom, and if you forget to plug it back in....your car won't idle.

I checked it out yesterday with one of my friends, he said that by the way it's acting it's surely the IAC, so I'm ganna clean it tonight in Carb Cleaner and see what happens... Anything special I should do while cleaning it? I know I gata be careful about the spring inside but is there anything else?
