ok as you can see below are my current mods. i now want to do my heads and intake upper and lower. what do you recomend because i want a decent amount of power, dont want to spend alot so if anyone is selling a good pair of either let me know. should i go with gt-40's or E-7's? could you briefly explain the diff. and not to sound retarded because i'm new to the 5.0 game, whats the diff between afr and tfs and what does that mean. thanks for the help.

afr= air flow research heads and tfs i believe means trick flow like trick flow heads or intakes

E7's are what you have stock, the GT40 is a better flowing head, and can be found on certain years of Explorer. From what I've heard they will get you 30-40hp. GT40's are still iron, the next two are aluminum heads. AFR's are arguably one of the best out of the box heads that can be purchased. Trick Flow is only slightly behind, but stock for stock AFR's will make more power. However, if both are ported, the TF's (which have a bit more meat to em) tend to be superior, which is why I went Trick Flow. Either one is a great choice, all three of the above mentioned heads can be found used for pretty good deals on ebay or classifieds. corall.net has a pretty extensive used section, look in the parts for sale section and then windsor engine parts (5.0/5.8), and you should have a good amount of stuff to look at. You can also post a wanted ad.

is it worth buying used or should i just wait a little longer and buy new heads? also when i buy the heads and i wanna upgrade the rockers do i also buy new rockers or do heads come with new rockers. and if not what would you recomend for rockers, 1.7? what brand? do i need new lifters and push rods as well?
