supercharger choice help!!
ok i have a pretty much stock automatic91 lx besides simple bolt ons. im looking for a good supercharger to make the car a little more enjoyable. im looking at the kenne bell kit or the vortech v-1 s trim. i like both of them but not sure if one is better then the other. any advice or experience with either of them?
kenne bell ftw!!!!!! thats what i plan to get, prob in a year or so, after i do my suspension and save up for it. it has less lag then the centri design and more tq.....

One of the two big Mustang rags recently did a feature story on what was better to do, a heads/cam/intake job or a supercharger on an otherwise stock Fox. They came to the conclusion that both projects made basically the same power, but ended up recommending that you do the H/C/I first, then a blower later. The reason being that you'll get MUCH more power out of a supercharger on a car that can actually use all of the extra air it's pushing through than a stock headed car.
That said, the KB and Vortech are two completely different animals. If you're looking for stoplight to stoplight bottom end grunt and don't plan on making it a track car, the KB is the way to go. If you're looking for more top-end power, a centrifugal blower is the one for you.

and tru h/c/i would bennifit the sc... but u can always do that after... and its best to atleast plan it all out so u dont get **** u can use... forexample, buy a trick flow top end kit, and then put a kb on it... there goes the intake manifold...
I guess im gonna be wierd here and go with a vortech. But seriously, you are in two totally different price ranges here. What is the kenne bell? like 3500+? I think you can get a v1 vortech for like 1800 from ebay. i think like 2k from jegs. Personally i am going with a v1 vortech, my buddy has one pushing 12lbs on a HCI notch. It has 475 rwhp! Thats not bad for a base line blower

dont plan on making it a track car? track like drag? **** man... kb will be all kinds of good for that too...

damn fareal??? on the dyno chart it says that on a stock fox the v1 would make about 275.....so the HCI made that big of a diference or are they just underrating the blower.
