Default Battery relocation with blower???

i was wondering about that p-1sc blower that i'm getting for my 87. in all the pictures i've seen, it goes on the right side as you look at the engine. ie the mount hooks up to the a/c and p/s. would this mean i have to relocate my battery, and if so, where is the easiest place to do it.

it would probably be best to relocate the battery. give you more room anyways. do you ever to go commerce to race? i might be headed over there this summer, hopefully a few guys from here can meet up or something.

i've been there only once. it was a long time ago, like 4 years. anyway, i've thought about going there, but i'm going to wait till i get my blower on. and i'm trying to find the best way to launch so that i don't just spin out.

i live in gainesville so commerce isnt that far of a drive for me. i go to school in dahlonega during the week, so i'd have to go on the weekend

With the P-1SC you won't have a choice... you will have to relocate the battery. If you buy the P-1SC kit from a dealer and not but it used from a private seller, then it will include a relocation kit as well. Only real choice is the trunk.

alot of their kits will include a relocation kit that puts it not in the trunk, but on the same spot in the engine bay, only on the passenger side instead of the driver side. I would recomend however putting the battery over the right rear of the trunk, as you will have some added weight in the front and definitely added power, and will have less traction. Battery Relocation FTW!!!! Also a good time to pull that sway bar from the front!

Do the battery in the trunk. If you go to the track at all, you'll want as much weight off the nose as possible.

I'm not sure that there would be room for the battery on the passenger side either with the P-1SC. The tubing for the S/C takes up that side too, although I guess there might be some way to squeeze a real small battery in. But like you said, better to put it in the trunk anyway.

Here's a pic of my engine bay from last summer. You can see the P-1SC on the right and you can see how the tubing goes near the bottom of the radiator and comes back up on the passenger side.

Sam on the fox, the intake tube goes through the rear hole in the fender closest to where your fmu is. That's how mane was before I put the battery in the trunk. It was a tight squeeze, but it fit. I'll see if I have any old pics.
