Default driveshaft???

Does anyone know how much the stock driveshaft weighs on a 94' gt??? just wondering since i am probably going to to get an aluminum driveshaft here soon...

If you have a surplus of money to spend on a drive shaft or your current d-shaftis vibrating after a ring and pinion install it's a good idea. Otherwise I'd just spend 15-20 dollars on new u-joints and call it a day.

it's vibrating and the guy who did my dyno said thats what i need to fix the problem... but i just wondered how much weight i was losing i know it doesn't matter much but jw.

yea its actually a significant difference, i picked up an aluminum ds with one hand and i really couldnt pick up the oem one so, its at least25 lbs

Also, it's spinning weight, which makes changing the driveshaft equivalent to shedding more weight than the shaft actually weights.

If you run at the track, every little bit of weight you can shed helps. If not, it's probably not worth the money.
