Default Best way to spend $2400

Well guys hows it goin. Got my internet back up and thought I would jump on here and ask some questions. 1990 lx 5.0 and I will have my bonus soon. (Navy sign on bonus) After saving most of the money for my up coming wedding, I will have around $2400 to spend on my car. I want to know what you guys think. I am pretty sure I am going to put 3.73's in the rear end no matter what road I take so what should I do with the extra $2000. Should I get new heads with a better cam, intake manifold, throttle body and injectors, or go with intake tube and filter, intake manifold, throttle body, cam, injectors, pulleys, headers and exhaust, or finally substitute the injectors and pulleys for a shot of juice? I really dont know which way to go, give me your suggestions.

definitely go with the 3.73 gears first. next I would go with the shorty headers and cat back exhaust if you have to keep the cats, if not, get an off road X-pipe too. then I would go with a cam and new heads followed by a throttle body, MAF upgrade.

and you can add ALL those mods up together and they will cost you more than a supercharger... and you'll still be slower that a supercharged stock 5.0

Welp, no1 reccomended this first.
But if you're planning big things
Might I suggest a Brand New Shortblock?
Possibly a 327, 331, 347 stroker?
With all forged internals.
This way, you KNOW your engine can take the abuse when you get to it later
and with the extra cubes you'll be makin more ponies as well

yeah, coz then you gotta spend money on an intake too, cause you wouldnt want to use the stock one after buying all that .... if your cars running perfectly fine, supercharging it is what i would do .... but the other route would be more fun, just cost more than a s/c will

I am a ET3 in the sub force. I am stationed in Groton, CT. As for the replies, thanks for your input guys. Maybe I havent been looking in the right places but a S/C kit is around $4000 no? How reliable are used s/c kits and where can I find them? Ebay? I noticed no one liked the nitrous idea. Any reason for that? I m not so sure about spending 1100$ on new heads. I have read articles everywhere and the average gain in hp is only around 25. 1100$ for 25hp doesnt seem very reasonable to me. Id like to just skip everything and go with a s/c kit but aside from the cost of the kit I would have to pay for it to be installed and tuned, where the other stuff I can do myself. As far as a new shortblock goes, how much do they run with installation? What do they rate as far as hp and torque? ANy more suggestions are welcome.
