I hate to say it, but if it has truly been sitting for a year, I would drop and drain the gas tank completely. There could be alot of moisture in the tank as it has now made it through an entire cycle of seasons. Also, I have seen alot of instances where the TFI module on the distributor goes bad becasue it sits too long. I don't know why, but it has even happened to me. You might just replace it anyway since it's only like ten bucks for a new one. Also, if you get it to start up and everything, reset the timing to what you want it, just to make sure it's in good running order. I recommend autolite for the plugs, and use synthetic motor oil. I would probably use 5w30. Also, wouldn't be a bad idea to flush and fill the tranny while you're at it.

Wouldnt be a bad idea to squirt a few drops of oil or couple of shots of WD 40 through the spark plug hole of each cylinder shortly before ya fire it up. If its been sitting for a year, those cylinder walls maybe alittle on the dry side.
