cobra computer
In order to run 24lb injectors on an A9* computer you need to ...
Lie to the computer about the airflow, via an aftermarket MAF.
OR
Get a custom tune on a dyno.
Most often the aftermarket MAF works out fairly well, never great, but pretty good.
Sometimes there are issues though; rough idle, hard cold start, etc.
Using a Cobra ecu will eliminate all of the negative consequences of running 24lb injectors.
The Cobra computer doesn't make 'tuning' easier, it eliminates the need for 'tuning'
Converting to the 93 Cobra computer requires a Cobra specific MAF/MAS and 24lb injectors. No other changes are needed.
There is no intrinsic performance advantage to using the 93 Cobra computer. Technically there may be a slight power loss, but it would barely be enough for a dyno to repeatably register.
I converted to the 93 Cobra computer a few years back to run 24lb injectors on my 302.
Good Luck,
jason
