i was thinking of doing a 351w build up all this time but now im leaning toward a 460 but i need to kno what theycame in and what i need for the swap

 

stay with the 351w, and youll be happy.

the 460 is very heavy and the torque will tear that fox body apart.

 

+1 ft for the 351.The 351 just bolts in using only swap headers and oil pan. With the 460 you need a whole kit with mounts headers and the whole 9. Not to mention the 460'sadded weight, much tighter fit, limited transmision selection, need for custom fabbed exhaust,partsto build it are muchmore expensive, etc etc. Stick to the 351W and if you need more torque just put a stroker kit in it.

 

if you were to go with a 460 i beleive the best would be to go with a 70-71 towncar 460 because from thefactory they came with 365hp and 500 flbs of torque....i dont know about any other years tho

you can get a 460 out of old buicks i think some jeep wagoneers came with them too.

eh my dad had one with a 454 that he used to pull a 5th wheel with, so not bs.
