explorer setup

so is it worth putting the explorer intake manifold and heads on my 5.0? and what years of the explorer do they come off of?

older explorers have the gt40 heads, and I believe 97 and newer have the gt40P heads. You will get fairly decent gains from them, if you are on a budget I would go with them or if you got some cash just get some aluminum heads like AFRs.

Don't forget that the post-'97 1/2 Exploders had GT40P heads, which were a bit hotter stock but less potential in the long run. The main consideration with these heads is that they require a special set of headers. Go with the standard GT40's
