Default Help possible injector problem?

Ok, so a lot of you have been helping me with my fuel pump problem. Well today I ran a pwoer line and tested to see if my pump was fried. it's not. It comes on, so then I turned it on, and it wouldn't stop running, I can heara hissing from the motor. It's from the left side, almost sounds like it's coming from one of my injectors, I can't see any fuel coming out, but maybe one of my injectors are shot and are just spraying non stop? Any help is appreciated.

Oh, and I think it was injector # 2 if I remember correctly, I think 2nd from the front on the left.

go out and grab the injector, if it was flowing, you could feel it. gently wiggle it around a little bit, it might have a hole in it.

the hissing noise you are hearing is the fuel passing through the pressure regulator.

I am not aware of your previous malfunctions, so please post up a link to your old thread, or re-type the problems you are having and i'll do my best to help you out!

well before the pump kept runnin and was bein a pain, so I replaced the relay, then the pump wouldn't come on at all. Spent a ton of time screwin around trying to find what was wrong, and found I wasn't getting power to the pump anymore, after a lot of getting pissed with that I just said screw it and decided to just wire the pump to a switch on the dash, which I was working towards doing today, then I discovered this problem.

So why won't it shut off?

the pump wont shut off because your running a permanent 12 volts to it... the ECM in the car has control over the relay for the fuel pump, it tells the relay when to send power to the pump.

From the sound of things, you bypassed the relay and ran a 12v switched power source to the pump...

of couse, this is just an assumption based on the facts that you have given me.

Personally, I would have ran a new signal wire from the ECM, and hooked it to a relay, which would return normal functionality to your fuel pump, and you wouldnt have to dick around with a switch!
