oh. my car just started making a loud knocking sound. its not comin from the motor. its in the front of the car. i checked the pullies for loose bolts but nothing found.
any ideas?

the bearing on the WP shaft could make a knock. Get yourself a long screwdriver or solid pipe, place it against the water pump, and put your ear to the screwdriver. when you have found the culprit, the noise will come right through the screwdriver and you'll hear it plain as day.
