my buddy 88scgt on this forum and i went to the dyno today. At 1000 miles on the motor it was dynoed at 460 at the wheels todaywith 3200 miles on the motor we took it to the dyno the first run he put down 455 and it was runnin a bit lean at the top end after adding 9 lbs of fuel pressure it only gained 3 hp at the wheels so the guy at the dyno asked if his mass air was clean not knowin we pulled it out and saw it was black so we cleaned it and made one more pull supriseingly it made 498 hp and 459 lb of tq at the wheels it used to just sound like noise when he got on it and tonight at the dynoit sounded like a mustang for the first time it sounded pure muscle coming out of the exhause when it was WOT it was running right around 11.8 until it hit 5800 and then it started to lean out and only got to around 12.6 at 6200 where the stock computer cuts the fuel considering it is running a stock computer i was completely amazed at this we were only expecting about at 15 hp gain since the motor loosend up but i mean a 306 with a 8-10lb pully making that kind of power is rediculus hope yall find this interesting and we are going to post the dyno sheet when we can
it is too much for me to type out so just go check out 88scgt to see what all he has we just got back from the dyno after a three hour drive there and three hour drive back so we are tired we are going to post the dyno sheet tommorrow i hope
sadly his dad has an 86 with twin 255 pumps aeromotive rails and regulator 347 and 16lbs of boost and only made 566 we were thinkin it would break the 615 barrier considering they tuned it after 200 miles on it at 587 hp at the wheels he took a dan g 20 hp loss while my friends 306 made 40 more after a good break in they have about the same amount of time on the motors but it is set up for drag and it is running through a built c4 and my buddy is running a tko so that could be the difference of it all
