just set the new heads on the block, the bushings go up top on the heads but the dowl is the same. are your rockers pedestal or stud mount?

you need to use the new heads, and an old head gasket. But you do NOT need to have the 7/16-1/2" bushings installed... the only reason for them is to keep the head from shifting while the engine is running. Since your not going to be starting it, you wont need the bushings

DO YOU HAVE PEDESTAL MOUNT OR STUD MOUNT ROCKERS? Either way there will be some room for the couple thousandths extra there will be since the head is not torqued. but you will have more with stud mount. if you have stud mount just do like said above get your measurement.

new heads, and new cam= new push rods usually... hardened to slide in and out the guiide plates on edelbrock heads.. i have a set of 60259 rpm heads and love them... if ya push rods are hardened and can match use them.. if not hardned get new 1s
