I had something very similar. Had a really nice, low tone!! Like old school hot rods.

I had some on mine when I bought it (previous owner welded them on like 10 years ago). They sound alright, but they crackle and pop on decel.and they are VERY restrictive. I felt a huge difference in sound and performance when I switched over to the MAC's.

Here's a clip of the old cherry bomb's on my car soon after I first got it.

For the record, the kid that sounds like kermit the frog that is holding the camera is not me.

Cherry bombs are restrictive? Please explain how, they are straight thru muffers for god sake!!

Because I felt a good power gain when I swapped them out for the MAC's. My buddy that runs circle track cars on pavement (I'm not sure exactly what they're called, it looks like a NASCAR car), said the same thing, he used to run cherry bombs and he said that they suck.

They are anything but restrictive. If anything, you piced up some lost torque by increasing the back pressure w/ the mac mufflers.

IDK Pro, maybe it was because they were 10-15 years old and there was carbon deposits and **** rattling around in them when I took 'em off. You're probably right. I just like the chambered sound better.
