Default powersteering pump question

ok, well my ps pump is shot. it works fine and all, but the bearing screams its *** off above 4500 rpms. so yea, i need a new one before it takes a shyt on me.

autozone has it for $55 w. out the resivoir(sp?), and 65 with it, but they have to order it(**** that, lol.)

so my question is, can i reuse my old resivoir w. a new pump? or do i have to get the $65 one and order it?...

also, how bad is it to run w. a short belt routed around the ps pump? if i do that, itll only be for a short, temporary period of time

you can swap the resivoir...but it is kinda a PITA...and you risk not lining the seals up perfectly and having it leak on ya after all that hard work.....i would get the one with the resivoir...

autozone rents it.......just make sure you use 2 wrenches when putting the pully back on...the tool breaks pretty easy if ya don't
