instead of bolts i now use studs. it make the install much easier because you just hang everything on the studs and then tighten the nuts.

i have also found that they are less likely to loosen up.

i switched to aluminum gaskets and my headers quit leaking too.

I use stage 8. Most headers are good with 3/4 unless your running a spacer, which Im sure your not. Headers can be a pain to install and I had to modify MOST of the locks to get them to fit this mustangbecausethe headers didnt give me a whole lot of room for fasteners. But I dont put headers on withoutlocking fasteners and anti-sieze on the threads.

In 35+ years of using headers I've never used anything except regular header bolts with some anti-sieze on them if they are going to water jacket.
I've had just 1 bolt once get loose........

I use anti-sieze on ALL of my header bolts and I shoot at least one out everytime I take the damn car out. Im in the market for some locking ones eventually.

just use regular header bolts and some ultra black gasket sealant instead of a gasket and you wont have a problem with having to tighten them ever again. they come from the factory that way.
