macco can do good work, depending on the person doing your car, and also what you pay for. usually you pay for what you get.

Maaco is 100% you get what you pay for. I've had some work done there before and I've had to take it back over n over still not satisfied. The people I know who have gotten paint there and gotten the 'economy' package have had to take their cars back too, but I think they do well when they find out you're picky or unsatisfied. Oh another thing, if you have a system in ur car, take it out before taking it to them, they actually cut my remote turn on wire and ripped an RCA out of my amp leaving the inner prongs inside the amp. I don't really like maaco too much lol [8D]

getting a maaco paint job is like usuing a condom you bought for a quarter out of a gas station bathroom. sure, its cheap, and may look like the real thing, but 9 months later are you going end up regretting your decision? i wouldnt let anyone from maaco touch any of my cars.

Like they said, you get what you pay for.... Maaco can do good work, but you'll have to pay for it like anyplace else. I've also heard Maaco's work turns out better if you do the prep yourself....

Paint jobs are 99.9% prep work, and that is were the time and skill really comes into play. Any dents, ding, scratches and such need to be fixed. Not only that but to be a real "quality" paint job the car needs to be block sanded several times. You get what you pay for is never more true than when you talk about body work. I charge $1000 for a full repaint with NO jambs (ie same color as before) and do very minimal body work for that price (by that I mean I fix the dents and dings, but I won't do rust repair for that price) I do however wet sand and buff.
