you should do a cylinder leakdown test. it will be ablt to pinpoint where you are losing compression be it rings or valve seals and guides, or some bad valve seats or maybe even a bent valve.

how do I do the leakdown test? So I still have a chance of it being valves? I was planning on getting heads anyway so that would be cool But if its the rings im kinda screwed! Please let me know!

OK so the car runs good? please clarify your problem. A compression test will not tell you anything about valve seals!!

not serious

take all of them divide by 8 and get average

101 If you rebuild later, get new rings

the car SMOKES. Sometimes when I start it it lets out a cloud and a half, when I get on the gas good it lets out a monster cloud. So I did a compression test. They were my results. Where do I go from here?

will a leak down test determine if its valve seals or rings? If so how do I do a leakdown test?
