cool because flat tappet cams are kind of a destructive cam they only use them in nascar because they have to and it only lasts for 500miles or so on the track.

i saw a flat tappet cam eat right through the bottom of 5 lifters in the fiero i was working on how ever the matainence all depends on how you break everything in

there really isnt much more to say. everything is jsut about true. for ur street stroker a roller is the best way to go. but if u want a high revving sun of a bit than get a flat tappet.

Tappet cams wear out faster than rollers. Theres just more stress on a tappet cam setup. The roller is alot smoother in operating.
