You are using a puller correct? if not you need to be using a puller..rent one from the local parts store.

I think this may work on a stang. i had a problem like this on some old cutlas my friend had. It was a auto so the motor spun over when we tryed to turn the puller. I had my friend pull the trans/converter cover and wedge a large screw driver against the flywheel/flexplate teeth and the tranny houseing that held the motor still enough for me to use a breaker bar to get the balancer to first pop free. Now be carful if you do this make sure the screwdriver it wedged solid you dont wanna mess up any teeth on the flywheel. They are very durable but you still dont want the driver to slip. my 2 cents witch worked in my case

Are you pulling the heads right now too? If so all the accessories except smog have to come off. I take 2 crank pully bolts and thread them in half way then stick a long pry bar in between them and get it jammed against the ground and between the bolts. Then you can break the balancer bolt loose without the crank turning on you. Then you need a puller to take the balancer off.

i have both heads off... i just removed both acessories... i just put bucket under the a/c power steering accesory bracket to hold it up in hopes of not having to disconnect hte power steering or a/c...... so adder do u think if i pull the condenser ill be able to to get a impact wrench on it and get it out??
