Default 400 hp

What is the cheapest way to get to 400 hp at the crank with a small block. Complete crate engine? Short block? Thanks for the help.

302 its gonna take a lot. Heads, cam , intake, etc. but you can do it N/A. 331, tou can just do all the bolt ons, 351, would take a whole lot to get there, im not sure what ou want to do, blower, nitrous, etc?

400 Crank HP on a 302 isnt that bad. Just grab some forged pistons and connectors (for 93+ stangs), then load that bish up with some N20 . N20 is gonna be by far the cheapest way to aquire that 400 crank HP your looking for. Dont forget to upgrade your Tranny though, it would be fine for street but, as soon you smack some slicks on, that tranny is gonna be pissed!

If you have to ask what it takes to get 400hp, you don't have what it takes to get there!

you need to consider the total package in order to get to 400 HP at the crank. this means the cam, heads, intake, exhaust, injectors, fuel pump, etc. all have to be selected to work together to put out the HP you want. call the Ford Racing parts tech line at 586-468-1356 and they can give you some good advice on what pieces will get you there.
