White Smoke...Help....
I recently did my lifters and adjusted my rockers. upon finishing the job, i ran the motor for a about 1/2 hour to reset the computer and check for leaks/ fluid levels. everything was fine. as i was driving home, a lot of white smoke was coming out of my exhaust. it was like a fog was forming behind me. my fluid levels are full after 2 days. what can this be? i also did new plugs, wires, cap, rotor, 14degree timingand MAC headers. please help. im very confused.
thank to all in advance |
RE: White Smoke...Help....
Well, generally white smoke = blown head gaskets.[:@] Or coolant is somehow getting into the combustion chambers. What all did you have apart?

RE: White Smoke...Help....
i havent lost any coolant fluid, overheated, and it doesnt smell like coolant. would it happen quick like that? whats a good way to check if its true. i drained my oil today after it sat all night. no water/coolant. should i remove the plugs and pressurise the radiator?

RE: White Smoke...Help....
i took off the u/l intake, rockers, lifters, exhaust, a/c compressor, plugs, distributor, but not the heads. i had to change my lifters because they were bad. so i did a normal replace of them, adjusted the rockers, and put the assembly back together. it doesnt leak anything or smell like coolant or gas.

RE: White Smoke...Help....
Maybe you didn't get a good seal on the coolant passages of the intake. Is it still smoking?

RE: White Smoke...Help....
