96+ use the power steering pump to boost the brakes instead of a vacuum booster. Works great and saves alot of room. Common sense tells me it'll just bolt up...but, I would love to see a build or sticky on it from someone who has made the swap to get all the little details.

i would like some more info on it also, currently with eht 347 build im pulling only 9-11" of vacuum and cant power my brakes very well, cent even lock em up, tried the canister things, works a lil not good enough if i cant lock them up, im going to either buy a ele vacuum pump or do the hydroboost,,,, anyone have info on these, damned electrics are noisy

i was going to try this but if the car dies or you throw a belt what are you going to do? i wanted to do this also to avoid manual brakes. right now i just turnned up my idle to ~1200 rpm so i can have 8 inches of vac.

i was told that vac pumps dont last very long, they are more or less intended for "race cars" kinda like a electric drive water pump.

the ele vacuum pumps will run until it reaches around 20-22" vacuum then it shuts off until it senses under 15" vacuum then it comes back on, a lot of people are using them ive found out, i guess if it only lasts so long thats the price we pay for good brakes, ive got a couple more things to try b4 i throw down 279 for an ele pump but if that is what it comes down to so be it
