Supercharger Carb. Questions

Supercharger Carb. Questions
I have a built up 302 ready for a superchager. My stang now is currently injected but i was thinking about changing over to carb when i drop my new engine in. I figured on putting the engine in and using a holley intake and 750cfm holley supercharger carb. My question is will a sc carb work good enough to use until i end up supercharging it. In reading the descriptions of the carbs they say they work on vacumn and feed more fuel as the vacumn increases so i assume you could run one fine without a supercharger???? Any input would be great thanks guys

RE: Supercharger Carb. Questions
yeah you'll be fine. 750 is too damn big for a 302 though.
for normal performance 302's 600-650 is where you wanna be and with a supercharger i would look at something like a 650 mechanical secondaries/double pumper. Barry Grant carbs are holley by design, but come out of the box with extra features and are made of better quality parts.

RE: Supercharger Carb. Questions
i was told by more than one engine builder that they would never run a BG carb, they basically said he'sbetter at advertising than building the carb, they convinced me to go with Holley when i build my new motor.
also i live near scottistang and i went to school with his bro, imet him once and canhonestly sayour two cars are THE cleanest foxbodies in the area....i guess now i have to build a motor to compete with his it should be fun

RE: Supercharger Carb. Questions
so your saying dont use a BG just because its a BG or because its not properly designed for forced induction? i have owned holleys and i have a BG now. the BG has 100x better build quality, its made out of better quality parts (cnc machined aluminum parts instead of cast pieces made of "pot metal". things like easily swappable vac. secondary springs, clear sight plugs in the fuel bowls, etc, etc
