when the engine runs there are two sounds, a whirring noise (fan) and a clicking sound, its not my valves, it not like CLICK CLACK mut its like clickety clickety, and it sounds like the smog pump, can they go bad and start to click

 

to be absolutely sure its not your engine...temporarily disconect your belt and run your engine...if it is your smog pump it is probably about to seize....lots of fun when that happens.

 

Could be an accessory, lifters, injectors, header leak.

 

Thats my guess.

 

mmk, im pretty sure its the smog pump, ill do the belt thing tomorrow to make sure, if it is im going to replace the pump
