ok here's my situation....my 86 gt needed a tranny so i found a c4 for a good price...took her home and finally got it in...restored other thing to get it into running condition but now i hit a wall ....the neutral safety switch needs to plug into the tranny but i've got no place to plug it in at???? i know there are ways to override this and i was wondering if anyone could inform me on how to do so...please

this is the last step before she runs and it's spring!!! i need to get her out on the road asap!!! [/align]

just wire it to a pushbutton on the dash

Just trace the wires back from the neutral switch to wherever they connect, and replace it with a wire, or a fuse to be safe.

adder has a good point, use a switch, might save a persons life and the car.

ok...i will look into this more and come back wit some more problems(info)....86 would u happen to have an extra passenger door and a coolant resevoir???

ok so we got some stuff figured out but it still has no spark at all idk, could the coil be the prob?? is that what is keepin it from firing?? it turns over but no spark.....hmm i'm confused please help

i still haven't gotten it running!!!! but i think we've got it narrowed down to the computer!! it doesn't smell burt but it is the only thing i can think of that'll stop the system from workin>!>! anyone that has anything to add for me to check please start shootin em at me please

whoa... wait a sec.. if your nuetral safety switch was not connected, the motor would not turn over at all.

give us some info on your car, Year, Trim, mods, etc
