Default Tachometer Problem! HELP!

okay so the tach on my 92 lx vert has stopped working, it doesnt move until you get near redline and then it comes flying up...it has done this before but then stopped for a while and always would start and stop like this, but now it wont work, so is there any way to fix this, or do i just have to get a new tach? and if so, where can i get a tach? thanks for any help you can give me

the tach is electronic, as opposed to the speedo. could be a bad connection, or maybe its just getting worn out

Okay , yea i know that the tach is electrical, but i wouldnt think that the tach would wear out...its a 92 with only 90,000 miles on it, that seems soon to wear out to me.. is there any place that carries remaned ones?
