Default Turn Signal Issue

Hey guys, underneath my steering column theres a wire thats causing a short. Its draining my battery and making my car not start. Its the turn signal wire. I just wanted everyone to know about it before i have a mechanic fix it incase anyone else is having this issue. My turn signals work sometimes, and other times they don't until i move this wire around and find the "right spot".

No problem. At first i thought it was my electric fan causing the short considering it was wired improperly and with the wrong guage of wire, however im certain now its my turn signals. Im taking it to the shop tomorrow morning to have it looked at and repaired, shouldnt be much and shouldnt take long.
