yea, pull em and replace the screens and all in them. to keep from breaking thim take a short wood screw and screw it into the screen then pull it out with pliers by the screw. then replace screen and repeat on the rest. if you need it more detailed let me know and i will break it down for you step by step.

ok you will first have to pull the upper intake or plenum off. remove the the fuel rail which should be 4 bolts- 2 on each bank. remove the injector from the fuel rail which will be the top of the injector by inserting a fuel line removal tool into the top of the injector where the injector ties to the fuel rail fitting for the injectorand pull therail off the injectors one at a time as not to damage the injector. after the fuel rail isoff gently pull each injector outof the motor but what ever you do dont pry on them with a screwdriver, if they dont come loose get a pair of vice grips and work them back and forth until they are freed. once you have them out replace the o rings, filter and seals. in order to replace the filter or screens as i called it earlier gently insert ashort wood screw just big enough to fit in the filterjust enough to grap the filter.once it grabs gently pull on the end of the screw with some pliers or your fingersif possible.replace the seal then filter and oring and reinstall. be sure to lube the oring with a little motoroil or fuel before putting it on. please be sure your fuel system is depressurized before you start and just as added safety take your battery cable off.

iwould really be sure its the injectors before i did this though because they are very easy to mess up and im thinking your problem lies elsewhere becausea bad egr can cause this too. any overly oxygen rich reading by the o2 sensor will trip this code. i hope this helps and if you dont feel comfortable doing it bring it to someone who does.

I've always taking a 9v battery and 2 jumper wires and used it to keep the injector in the open position while I spray brake clean through it. I just do it for a couple of seconds until I get a good spray pattern.

There is a garage by me that has a machine that cleans the fuel system. Now I do not know exactly how this thing works...or if they were scamming me But they hook this machine up to the fuel rails and it has a solution that runs through the lines/injectors.

It is a 45 minute process and has multiple cycles that it runs. When I drove it out of there it seemed to run more open...make some calls around...I am sure that someone has it.
