Default No Heat

Hello all, I am new to Mustangs. Just picked up a 93 5.0 yesterday. Everything seems to be in a good shape for the most part. Found that the A/C blows cold, but there is no heat. The selector switch for the cold/hot rotates completely around. Not sure if replacing that would fix it, and if it is just 1 big unit for everything, or 3 individual units behind there. Any advice would be great.

Thanks!

Well, i don't know about the **** turning all the way around. If you don't get heat though, that means you need a new heater core.

The cold/hot selector runs a small cable, so if it's turning all the way around the **** is broken or not hooked up to the cable.

how high does your temp gauge go up? if the person before you put in a 160 thermostat it would make the heat not work very well. Before getting into heater core replacement id check the thermostat

Drove it about 5 hours yesterday, stays right about the middle of the temp gauge, doesn't overheat at all.

So what I need to look at is replacing the control switch, and the heater core?
