i was talking to this mustang guy that came into my work today. he suggested a set of canfield heads and a custom cam. obviously a custom cam would be much better, but im on a very small budget. is the custom cam worth saving for, and what do you guys think about canfield heads?

I have heard good and bad about them. Like all the others. Heads have followings, if you have not noticed.

afr and canfield are both great heads but you really just need a bigger cam not so much a custom one but that tfstage 1cam is not anything you want budget or no budget car will perform much better with a bigger cam and you need one

does anyone have a good idea of an emission legal came that will not take is not as expensive as a custom? it will be mostly a daily driver and a stoplight racer, but it will see track time about once a month or less

Good motor mounts and a decent MAF to go with the injectors already mentioned would be good too.

I'd be researching torque converters, tranny kits, and additional cooling like crazy too.

Sounds like a bunch of fun though!
