Default Turbo thread

I've seen quite a few guys talkin about runnin turbos on mostly stock 5.0's so I figured I'd make a thread. As I've been reading and seeing some DIY stuff, what all would it take to do a DIY turbo set up? Is it possibly to pull the turbos off of something like an rx7 or some other car that came stock with turbos? Would they even work for the setup? How much could you estimate it to cost if doing ajunkyard build up?

Anybody else feel free to chime in with questions.

what single turbo would be good for a 5.0 with GT40's a decent cam (B or E) and an explorer intake, and what cars cam with them from the factory? I think id be shooting for 10-12 PSI

this thread should be stickified.

ok so now I know the formula to figure out how much air needs to be flowed or whatever, no just gotta figure out what cars came factory with a turbo that can flow that much.

So any idea what a stock 5.0 motor can get HP wise on like 10lbs or so?
