Spline Count?
I was looking at these Ford Racing Traction-Lok Differentials to get both wheels turning at the same time. But I was wondering what is the spline count and how do I find out how many my car has to replace it with the correct spline count . . . 28 or 31?

Why buy a new carrier, just o/h the old one. A lot cheaper unless yours needs everything.

Awesome!!! man I thought I needed to buy the whole assembly...saves me more money for the install. thanks PRO50SC and 93 LX. about how much would a shop charge to do a job like that?
im in the middle or rebuildin my rear end again now,and it depends on if you have thehousing out of the car or in, and if you suplying the parts, and what the shop charges, as for as labor most charge 70 pr hr some charge 50 but if you looking in the book it like a3-5 1/2 hr job it couldbe 150 -350 but if you just getting the trac loc clutches it might be less. But check befor you goyou will have to take it to a shop the works on rearend some shops only replace the dif not rebuild them.. And y not just get a set of gears and bearings and rebuild the holethingat once?thats way you don't have to go back in it agan untill you decide to upgrade again to better stuff ?
How mechanically inclined are you.? It's not that hard to do. You just have to pay attention to how it comes apart and put it back together the same way. Just to pull the carrier, replace the clutches, shouldn't take a shop more than 3 hrs to do. And that's being generous.
