you dont need one, just make it so it comes on with the key
maybe put a switch on the dash to turn it off for warm up or in the winter.

actually pretty much any auto parts store will sell you a universal electric fan relay kit that will kick it on when the temp gets over whatever the thign is set to (160, 180, 190, etc) they are like 20 bucks and worth the money to have it setup the right way.

how good are these taurus fans anyways? will they cool a 350-400 hp motor? anyone have dimensions of the fan/shrould assembly? pics would be good too

77stang, yes that tarus fan will cool your engine, no problem.

no deminsions, but unless you have a really tight engine
bay it will fit with slight trimming if any.

What does that universal fan relay kit come with? I need a big relay because the fan draws something like 80 amps at start up. Some one told me to use a 75 amp Bosch relay or a white-rogers relay # 70-111224-5 that can be bought from Grainger & it's 80 amps. It looks like a starter relay. www.Grainger.com

You will have to put some type of relay for the fan anyway so get a thermo switch from summitracing. They have all different types with different temps for the probe.

Do not let the fans come on before the thermostat opens. Common mistake and it's just a plain waste of electricity.
