Default gt40 heads

i keep seeing eveyone saying that gt40heads arent taht good anymore...wat are some better choices on the market

GT40's are great heads - its just that there are other heads available that are better. The GT's are still the best bag for the buck if you come across a cheap junk yard though. for a couple hundred bucks and a little labor you cant beat the gains.

its not about whats biggest, its about what works best. i can tell you right now for 90% of the small block ford guys, 1.94/1.60 valves put you right where you need to be. hog em out, blend the radiuses, and blammo you got an excellent set of heads

Or send them to thumper like me, its pricy but supposed to be worth the money.....I guess I should wait until I get them back though eh?

Trickflow, Edelbrock, AFR, Canfield, RHS, etc. are all better than stock GT40 heads.

Not to postjack, but:

So iron GT40 heads, unported and unmilled, are a good bang for the buck? How many hp might one get from these, a GT40 intake, and headers?
