Simply, will a 331 engine pass emissions?

 

i have a 8.1L 496 that passes cali smog, you will need to make sure you have really good cats, the cats filter out almost all the Pm 2.5 that the machine is looking for. I know this because im an part time air tech with federal EPA, not that no budget state department thast has to make smog laws stricktor to raise mor money.

 

Above applies only if you pass the visuale inspection and gas cap test.

 

You think I can run a pretty mean cam in new york and still pass emissions? Something a bit meaner than the E cam like maybe a B cam, I have high flow cats on the car.

 

i would not run a cam that does not come with a CARB#, high flow cats may hurt your chanceof passing. I would get the bigest cats i could and put as close as possible to the headers.

lol just find someone to hook you up with a fake.......... thats what i was tryin to do, but its hard here in cali... i would pay 500$ cash just for a smog slip.. alot of smog shops are closed now because the new equiptment costs too much

 

i get mine "smogged" in so cal for $150
