Bought the heads with a fresh valve job, and they were ported already.. Took them straight to my machine shop, having them checked (decked if needed) they are testing the springs to make sure it will hold my E-cam (guy said they are for .500 so we'll see) and its gettin a mild polish and clean up the exhaust ports a little more (already done pretty well)

so any estimates on the numbers? it seems that the porting cost quite a bit unless you know somebody, wouldnt it be better to get a set of trick flow or afr's?

It's worth it. You can get up to AFR165 performance range.

More than likely. I bought junkyard GT40Ps. The heads were $90, valves were $180, spring kit was $133, machine work was $125. That's 528 for unported GT40Ps...and I got the valve job done for free.
