Precaution on installing chrome headers...
I talked to a guy today that puts xhaust systems on harleys....he said that before you put on chrome headers to get a can or 2 of ceramic paint, flip your headers over and spray your headers from the collector in until you see overspray coming out the flange end. doing this will disperse the heat better and your headers wont turn colors as bad....
In theory it seems like it would work..but I know when I painted some old headers I had with that ceramic paint the paint flaked off after maybe a day of driving. I sand blasted them, wiped them down, painted them and baked them in an oven.So take that for what its worth but it may be a waste of time.

Yes I know I can read. I was just saying I took all the necessary steps to sandblast and clean the outsides and the paint didnt stick...I dont know if youd getter a better paint adhesion on the inside of a header that you cant prep.

he's talking about spraying INSIDE the whole header, starting from the collector. once it starts running out the other end, your done.
