Default h/c/i question

ok, im going to have a h/c/i swap done to my car, and im going to have a mechanic do it. I was just curious to know if it was better to have him do it 1 at a time or all at once.

I would personally like to have it done one by one, like the cam first, then the intake, then the heads, or maybe the heads and intake at the same time, but the cam seperate. Also what do you think is a good price for a h/c/i installed?

you're the one paying the bill...not sure why you'd want to make repeated trips to the shop??? I personally don't trust "mechanics" they tend to always get the better of the deal and place blame EVERY time it goes wrong.

your better off doing it all at once. you have to remove the intake and heads to PROPERLY change the cam. you have to remove the intake to change the heads, then you have to remove the intake again to change the intake... (duh).... so just do it all at once

ya def once there is no sense of keep tearing motor down and if you are having mechanic do it, then labor for the same stuff he did the last time he had the car..

Why, do you want to see the improvement each part makes? It'll cost more for sure, as he'll have to tear the motor down several times instead of all at once. Then there's the increased labor time, and the ungodly amount of head gaskets you'll be replacing over and over. Not worth it
