The only thing I have done recently is a 5 lug swap... I havent touched anything in the engine bay... besides the braking system.

next time it overheats, touch both radiator hoses. both should be hot, if the upper hose is still cold, the therm is stuck closed.
if the upper hose is hot and the lower is cold, you have no flow through the radiator.

why don't you start with flushing the system...NAPA has got some great $hit in a blue bottle that works great....but first make sure the water is circulating

lol yea it scared me too, i tried to deny it for a while but then i started pissing steam out my d/s tailpipe and then i was convinced... def do a compression test, its not hard and fiarly cheap to do. just to be sure

how many miles do you have on the motor? and did your car sit for a long period of time in its life? before i bought mine it sat for like 4-5 years cuz the guy was in the military. gaskets go bad if theysit for along time
