Default ADVICE!!!!!!

Hey folks this is my first post on here so hopefully i wont make a fool of my self....this is what i have...an 87 with a 347 stroker, vic jr heads, trackheat intake, dual flowmaster exhaust wit no cats, c-6 tranny, stock gears, hurst shifter, 75 mm maf, 30lb injecters, cold air...um thats bout it...most of this stuff is layin around the shop till i decide on a header and cam...nebody have advise on the numbers ill be making with this setup or recomendations on headers, cams or torque converter...thanx

call comp cams and they will custom grind you one for your setup. um i dont remember how much hp the 347 makes over the 302, but im sure the torque convertor will depend on how many ponies your runnin in the end. Sounds like a sweet setup though!

Hey man thanx for the reply...um i think the final number with a decent cam and stuff should be around 500...nebody got nething like this that might can give me a time estiment or nething like that

Not sure on the ponies, but get them stock gears out of there! 347 with stock gears makes baby jesus cry.

I doubt that you will be getting 500 HP out of it unless you have high compression and a really good cam sized to work with the heads and intake you say you have. and the C-6 tranny will eat up a good amount of that HP before it ever gets to the rear wheels. a built C-4 or AOD would be a better choice of tranny IMO.

Yeah i been told my tranny will hurt me...but its been built if that makes nedifference...im gonna go with 373 gears b/c i wanna keep it street strip...the compression is about 10-1...i bought an aluminum flywheel and an aluminum driveshaft so that should help some gettin some more power to the wheels...neone else all opinions are welcome thanx
