A little much in my opinion but it's not what we want, it's what you want!! Will it make you happy or will you always be wondering if you should have waited. Only you know what you want and what you are willing to give or how much to pay for.

Looks like a nice stang but i'd say NO. First off its not something your looking for(so you say w/ the whole 5 spd thing) second, it would be a lot of money to fix that up, needs new engine(soon) new paint, new interior and god knows what else is wrong with it. IMO not worth 4k so save your money and find something that yours looking for. Keep looking and saving and youll find one that you like much better trust me.

PS: try http://www.southfloridastangs.com/
What are you talking about for one. I love the car which is why i'm getting it I already have a daily driver 5spd and really don't care that it's auto and actually preferred it this time. Second you are obviously no tech guy since you think it needs a new engine soon. It has 118k on original motor and runs strong, with no leaks, not burning oil and most definatley no smoking. Theinterior can be fixed and I don't want it to be perfect. The paint this is where you are VERY wrong lmfao. The car has a 1 year old paint job that doesn't have one paint drip that I can find, the door jams are painted and everything the only thing remaining unpainted is the engine bay which i'm pulling the motor to paint anyway for a couple hundred bucks. This is the car I want and I don't appreciate you saying it needs a new motor when these 5.0L will last pretty much for ever if they aren't completely beaten to hell(which this one has not and is a weekend driver only). Rant off, just don't like people talking when they don't know the whole story....

Also if you read, I know the owner(my friends dad) and know how the car has been treated.

The car needs: Front bumper repaint, Paintless dent repair on the gas cap, Motor pulled and engine bay painted, and lastly new cloth seat covers and the car will be awesome. A nice set of weld draglites or some infamous cobra r's to top it off.

I agree with you nothsa. I just bought my 94, it looks like new still, but has 198k highway miles. Runs great! The car has not been beaten on whatsoever, and I expect this engine to go 300k no problem.

ok im an auto guy myself...im lazy and i cant drive a 5 speed worth a crap since ive never owned one. heres the deal, with an AOD ur going to want to shoot ur self unless u got a manual VB. those things with shift up and down at WOT at high speeds...not the greatest thing for racing. AODE would be better since they dont do that. heres ur options: manual VB for aod, c4, or swap to stick. im not sure what would intail in swaping to aode. auto's can be pretty pricy to fix up nice.

4200 Is a little much IMO for an AOD car as shown. Paint may be new...but is NOT a good quality job...brutal orange peal, makes me question how much putty is hidding behind the poor prep work...you'd be surprised. Interior is a worn mess for that kind of money as well. Mileage is decent though I'd continue to look for a car that's closer to what you REALLY want rather than settle for first available. As for engine life remaining...I've seen them last 200.000(my last one) plus and I've seen them last 2 damn miles, milage is not the determining factor on engine life....maintenence is.

Please finish reading the thread before making a comment...

I'm buying it for $3,825 and for the last time the PAINT JOB IS VERY GOOD. THERE IS NO ORANGE PEEL(not peal) and I couldn't even find a paint drip. GEE as for the putty I took a magnet over the vehicle and didn't find a spot of body putty. The interior can be EASILY fixed with new floor mats and $300 for ALL NEW seat upholstery. I AM NOT GOING FOR THE FIRST STANG I SEE. I have looked at around 8 other stangs and drove 5 of them and KNOW what has happened with this car the past 2 years. IT HAS beeen a weekend driver only and most the miles were put on by the past owner. The car is basically stock and not beat up and the current owner put MSD and Ford racing plugs and a jumbo filter. LAST PLEASE UNDERSTAND, which i've said many times the car has a very nice paint job.

PLEASE anybody with more comments read the posts especially this one restating the cars condition. Most of the pictures I took were bad because I wanted criticism but this is more than I can handle...

Why ask if you don't want honest opinion..I've spent far too many yrs building these cars to no be able to spot mediocre work. I'm sure the car is fairly solid but YOU asked opinions on a car that list for 4000 and I gave you opinion. Guess I'm just a little more picky than yourself but as you can READ the general consensus is your over paying....but hey do as you will.YourresponsesREAD like you've made your decision. In the future I would keep from asking opinion if the responses are going to upset you.

ok man but id try to knock it down to 3,000 thatd be perfect price if the car is running really good. but if he says no lower than 3500 and you cant find a better deal, than do what you think is best. I probably will put more than 3500 into my car with the purchase price, and then all the da*n repairs lol and the paint job still sucks so if you buy it have fun the car looks in good condition
