RE: Tire spin from a roll?
My stock 2.73's would spin if I nailed it in first with decent tires.
Job for tomorrow is to get my control arms and subframes on. Now, the car just smokes the tires and doesn't go anywhere :( |
RE: Tire spin from a roll?
If I punch it I do the same thing and I got KDSW's on mine

RE: Tire spin from a roll?
My 88 used to spin all through first with stock 2.73s in, and new-but-cheap tires. Then I put 3.55s in the rear, and it would burn all through first and most of second, with a hard shift. Then I got a set of Bridgestone Potenzas. I don't know if these are considered good tires or not, but they hook like crazy...at least compared tothe Dunlop Qualifiers I originally had. Now, if I'm careful andlet the revs get up a bit, and the tires are hot, I can nail it in first and it just hooks and pulls like mad. If I want to break loose in first...throttle only...it's still easy to do. I wouldn't buy a Mustang that wouldn't break loose in first.:D
