79 Cobra came with either 302 or 2.3 my son inlaw had a 302 I was going to buy but let an
ex - friend buy I kick my slef in the *** now for doing that he ruined the car.
the 80 & 81 cobras came with the POS 255 V8 or Turbo 4 the Turbo was the better option.
They also shared the same nose treatment as the 79 pace car and 82 GT.
I belive the 80 had the same cowl type treatment hood as the 79 Pace Car
and the 79 and 81 Cobras had the hood scoop like the 82 GT. I have seen picts though
(maybe premodel yearford picts) of 81 Cobras with the cowl treatment.
Some where in my storage I have dealer brochersfor 79, 80 & 81 Mustangs.

i just realized the owner changed the front bumpber. its not supposed to have that body kit looking thing i would change that back to original as fast as i could

yah im super excited about it! that bumper isnt the rigt one? how can you tell? i cant see a difference with mine and that white one on the 1st page, i skipped on that cobra because it was to rusty and crusty if you kow what i mean, the engine had 120000 on it without rebuild, im not messing with it, now ive got two cars for the saturday night cruises, i might sell it eventually though for a supercharger or a new 351, who knows

 

oh nvm! found what you were talking about, ill change that right away, but didnt some come with body kits on them, thats what the sales ad said

 

i dont think so it doesnt look like it belongs. go research it a little more just to make sure
