Default that red , green, orange wire thing...I broke it??..

While fighting with my corroded spark plugs, I managed to break a wire. Here is the funny thing. It is hollow? This is a harnass coming out of the passenger side fender. It goes under the mass air flow, leading to the the center are of the engine. It is possibly not a wire though as it appears hollow?? I broke the red one. It does not feel like a wire either, as it is a hard plastic. I basically just nicked it, and she snapped. I have no idea qwhat it is for, but the car still runs fine...I will try and post a pic. Any ideas what this red thing is for?

Did you brake it where that piece of duct tape is? It might be a pain if so, but you can buy a piece of small hose to splice in there and fix it.

Get some aquarium hose and super gluefrom wal-mart. Put a drop of glue on the factory vacuum line and slide the aquarium hose over it.I have replaced all of my vac lines this way,I cut themoff about a half inch from where they come out on both sides. no problems yet. Make sure you do them one at a time as to not mix them up.

run a whole new line and eliminate the plastic POS's.

they will keep breaking on you. better off to fix it once and be done with it.

they go to the TAD and TAB relays, they also carry vacuum, so make sure they are not leadking! Last thing you need are vac leaks!
