Default new guy doesnt know where to start

So i bought a 1989 Mustang LX with the 5.0 about a month ago, but i just now have some time to invest in it(classes are over). Where would you guys start? The only mod is a cat-less x-pipe with Dyno 40's.

how much money are you talking about first off, secondly are you looking to make big power down the road or just a little extra now and then leave it be?

really not a hole lot you can do with 200$ to make the car go any faster. a short shifter makes it alot more fun to drive and some lowering/ pref. springs could be a good way to go

Can barely fill the tank with $200 these days...

BUT

if you just recently got the car, I would do cap and rotor, new spark plugs, fuel filter, K&N air filter, clean the IAC and MAF, check the TPS, advance the timing a little, and add a 180* thermostat.. That would be a good start.
