Default lower thermostat housing bolt

how the hell do u get a wrench around it? seems like the upper waterpump bolts are blocking access.

i got in the from the side going under the ac compressor but i ended up getting the wrench stuck between the housing and the waterpump

got the wrench out and got the new thermostat in but now i cant get the damn bolt tightend. even grinded down a wrench to get it to fit didnt work so i heated it up to bend it to clear the stupid TFI module.

how have u guys done it and dont say take the distributor or waterpump out.

a socket will fit over it, then a swivel adaptor

the socket will only get it out about half way, hope it's loose enough to do by hand or your manually wrenching after that

Lucky for you you didnt have to take it off 3 times in a week. Mine kept leaking so I bought a new housing since it was warped and then me and my dad kept taking it off to try and get it to stop leaking. It was chrome on e and we finally got it to quit leaking and it hasnt leaked for almost a year now. As for that bolt I just used a combo wrench going under the ac compressor. When we got the new housing it came with some cap screws and I used those and some ball end allen wrenchs and was able to go in from the front easily.
