im tellin you its the TFI.. it cost me like $40ish at autozone about a year ago all you need is a small/skinny socket and an marker to mark the position of ur rotor when you install it cuz you gotta turn the distributer

yea, the starter comments kinda threw me off, i mean sometimes it doesnt start but im leaning towards a dead battery from all the starting and stopping of the engine

my 5.0 has now backfired for the first time on me today, i think i killed a few children and old people in the process

drove it for 7-8 minuets, drove perfect when ice cold, got to my house was fine, said mb it was fixed so i backed it outta the driveway and it died just in time for me to have to push it back in

autozone says they dont stock tfi's prolly just cuz there idiots and ill be outta town on work till monday so ill go there, pull the codes ask again about the tfi and then order it or w/e and get installed hopefully that works, honestly im a delivery guy and this car is my daily driver, this really sucks

i would check the coil.. maybe plug wires... kinda sounds like an ignition problem if it does it when it heats up.. maybe distributor..

+1000 on the TFI module. Go into Autostupidzone and talk to the person that looks like they can tie their own shoes and maybe they can help you..... Geez I hate Autozone... One time I went in to pickup some break pads for my DD and the only guy working was in a wheel chair and couldn't reach the pads and he wouldn't let me come around the counter and get them myself.
